We are in extraordinary times. Exactly a week before Winter Solstice and the coming of light, the final New Moon of the year gives us the only total solar eclipse of 2020. Though it’s not visible in North America, the energy of the eclipse is being felt globally! The New Moon shrouding the light of the sun during the darkest month of the year displays the power of shadow. Darkness is only an absence of light, and a shadow is only light hidden by the form of something else. So everything is always light. (Keep this in mind when traversing dark moments, look for the light.) There is much to be learned in the depths of our hearts and soul. Those unknown, secret compartments of our spirit are asking to be seen at this time. Embracing the dark and moving through it always proves it is truly darkest before dawn. From today, for a full week, explore your shadow self and fall in love with the complexity of your soul. All of this self-nurturing will make you shine from the inside out. The internal light will grow collectively among us, preparing for the expanding hours of sunlight.
